The Saint James American Church in Florence
As you might expect, within each Church, depending on the ritual, meet the faces from different corners of the world. The Saint James Episcopal Church, in front of the Orti Oricellari, is the reference point for Americans in Florence. The magnificent stained glass Windows illuminate the aisle of a delicate light and almost surreal: the entrance of the bride, while advances between the pointed arches with the mystical sound of the organ in the background, is a show really indescribable. English neo-Gothic style, with the crenellated portico at the entrance, the mullioned windows in travertine, the Bell Tower with corner towers, battlements and triforia, wouldn't think of not being in the city of the Renaissance. And how can we forget, among other things, that the 6 June 1992 in the neo-Gothic church in via Rucellai it celebrated the wedding of the year between "white Duke" David Bowie and his Princess of Somalia, Iman.
