The Herb Garden in Florence

The Herb Garden of Florence is a section of the Museum of Natural History, University of Florence. Today the Botanical Garden, as defined in the Botanic Garden Conservation Interational (Body which includes the botanical gardens around the world), is "an institution that has documented collections of living plants for the purposes of scientific research, conservation, display and education. "With the destruction of particular habitats and climate change due to pollution, more than 1/4 of all species plants in the world may disappear. Famous for the exceptional effect in the flowering period is the collection of azaleas that includes some specimens almost centenarians.
