The Orsanmichele Church in Florence
At the end of the fifteenth century the market was moved and the building of Talents was transformed into a church that retained so that unusual shape for religious buildings with rectangular plan. It is a unique and extraordinary monument because you are confirming civil and religious functions. The Interior of Orsanmichele is dark. On the walls there are traces ancient frescoes: these, like the statues outside are the patron saints of the arts. The element that most distinguishes the Church of Orsanmichele are the fourteen Tabernacles which open on external facades. Of great visual impact, within the impressive Gothic environment on the first floor, is the exposure on pallets of large statues once kept in external niches and restored.
