The Santa Croce Church in Florence

Our visits offer a new perspective for knowing and rediscovering Santa Croce. The Interior consists of 3 naves, the walls and the Windows are decorated with frescoes depicting the "stories of Saint Francis" artwork of Giotto and his pupils. The façade of the Basilica di Santa Croce in Florence is completely in neo-Gothic style of the original structure: the façade is the bell tower are relatively recent (1853-63 and 1847). The Church already in ancient times was used as a cemetery by the Florentine noble families and famous personalities of the time, so were erected tombstones, grave slabs and commemorative plaques. On the right is the Cappella Peruzzi and Bardi, both painted by Giotto with stories of St. John and St. Francis, follow then with burials of Julia and Charlotte Bonaparte.
