The Semifonte in Barberino Val d'Elsa Church in Florence

An ancient village, full of warm colors and resigned, received as a gift since centuries. From the Silent Hill of Semifonte offers a wonderful panorama and the chapel of Saint Michael the Archangel appears to ensure the quiet surroundings. The city still retains its original medieval appearance from almost elliptical plan crossed by two longitudinal streets, which I believe to be its charm. The small octagonal Chapel, crowned by a dome which (in the ratio of 1: 8) exactly reproduces that of the Florentine Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, was built between 1594 and 1597 by Santi di Tito. Inside was radically renovated in 1910 by architect Carrie, you can admire some fragments of frescoes from the 14th-15th century, a bronze bust of blessed Davanzati as a reliquary with his mortal remains, the table depicting the Madonna and Child and a 14th century fresco of the Annunciation fragmented 1300.
